Apply for a grant

Since the Charles Plater Trust awarded its first grants in 2008, it has funded over fifty diverse projects, each contributing to the Trust’s overall aim of advancing social justice through education.

Applications for 2022 small grants programme are now closed

Many thanks to the many small-sized charities who responded to our call for imaginative proposals for social action, lay leadership or applied research projects for CPT awards for up to £5,000.

These applications are now being assessed and we will publicly announce successful applicants in January 2023.

Our next large grants round will also open in January 2023, so please keep your eyes on this website for further details to be announced before Christmas.

Meet Charles Plater

The Charles Plater Trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to advancing the work of Father Charles Plater by developing social justice through education. Established as the successor to the former Plater College, Oxford, the Trust makes grants to organisations throughout England and Wales in pursuit of the Plater vision in its modern context.
